THE DREAMERS SERIES Q ND A

What was your dream as a child to achieve in your life?

To have your feet on the ground and your head in the clouds is an interesting place to be. You must determine how much time to spend in each space. Too long, and you risk losing yourself. Too little, and you won’t find out who you really are. How do I grow old gracefully and yet always be a child? When I was young I never really had a specific dream that needed to be achieved. But I have always loved adventure. Both the external adventure and the internal. I definitely believe that you must always run the ramp of reason before you take the leap of faith.

What are the titles you want to be known by?

Loving husband. Loving father. A son to be proud of. Awesome neighbour. Intriguing stranger. A talented force and leader in the film and television world. Tell us the story of when you first took steps to start your dreams and career. How did it happen?

Anything worth building takes time. I’ve never wanted to be an actor who has a flash in the pan success. I prefer hard work and solid roots of experience. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for Faith, Family, the support of others along the way, accountability, hard work, failures and encouragement. I would also say that any dreams I may have in the film and television world are still being created and pursued. There are many things I would still like to achieve. I’d like to direct more. I have a big list of people I would like to work with. Many more genres to explore and it would be great to travel and work more with my family.

How has COVID effect your business and career?

Of course there have been obvious changes in the business as far as how it operates and why. Overall however, as I mentioned earlier faith is a groundwork from which my wife and I build our lives, and because of that, how we view the world, how we live life, and how we raise our children has not changed based upon the current sway of the North American response to Covid. Always question your questions, doubt your doubts, and examine who you follow, and who do those leaders follow?

Where are you at now with your passion, dreams and life?

I’m not there yet. I am content with what I have learned and where I am now. And yet I feel there are greater plateaus to be reached and bigger pursuits to be chased. Some of those I’m aware of. And some of them I have no idea that they are coming my way. Insert laugh here. ;)

How many times have you gone for your dream and had to take a break, went full into it and then started something continuous or new?

In the past 20 years of being an actor, stunt performer and Director. I have probably given up 1000 times. But I have never quit. I have the bug. I ain’t packing it in. Share an encouraging quote from you to the imherewithmag.com fans about achieving your dreams.

Go ahead, give up a thousand times over…just don’t quit.
